40-ish

Look at those sweet happy faces!

What a little surprise they put together for me. It was Monday, a school holiday. The kids were home so we packed up some stuff and headed to the park with some friends. Krystina actually stayed home because she had birthday stuff to do, so she said. And she did just that.

The day was like all others (besides the school holiday). We ate dinner and then Kyle and I were working to finish up his science fair project. When Dan came home, I barely noticed as I was in charge of putting the board together. He came up and asked what he could do to help, then disappeared. Me, thinking I need to hurry and finish was totally shocked when I heard "Happy Birthday" coming up the stairs! I sat up and here came the kids, each holding a small birthday token. It was so adorable, I had tears. The smiles on their faces totally melted my heart! Those sneaky little kidlets really got me good. I LOVE days like this.

When your husband comes in the door with little turquoise boxes, you KNOW it's gonna be good!

Oh my gosh! My husband scored some serious points this year. He even had my initials engraved on the heart locket charm. And in case I haven't said it enough....THANK YOU DANNY!! I love you so much. You are the best!
