The Mommy that saves all her children's (count them...FOUR) school work, since they were wee bits might find herself in overwhelm when trying to organize it all into one place in preparation for a big move! Oh, you had no idea I was a SAVER? Uh huh. Ask my Mom, she still has most of my Barbies in her garage from my childhood! It was going through all of this stuff that made me stop and wonder....who's gene did I inherit this from? Is it just inbred in me to naturally save things? I once collected Cosmo Girl magazines from the eighties-then I ripped off all the covers thinking they'd make GREAT framed photos for my "future" kids...hahahahaha!! If only. Now, don't go confusing a 'saver' to a 'pack rat', because that I AM NOT. After going through piles and boxes of artwork, school papers, each and ever report card, certificates and memorabilia collected over the years, I began to fear that I had started something so big maybe even I could not get myself out of. In the end, we got all 4 kids done, with the help of a few extra hands and a lot of oohing and awwing we tackled the unimaginable. Lukily most of the paper stuff had been kept up to date, it was all that art work! How can you throw it away? We found some of the funniest things. It brought back so many wonderful memories of each child's experience starting school. I'm sooo looking forward to starting those school scrapbooks now!

This little machine became my best friend over the weekend. It even eats up old, scratched cd's!! Yes, I save cards too...but be proud of me, the saver, I SHREDDED almost all of them (except xmas cards with photos). Shred, shred, shred is my new motto. And if I don't get to the pile first, some other little person jumps in there and has all the fun :)

In the midst of all the chaos, I took a break to get a good laugh with my silly little funny face girl. She's got moves you've never seen! We've seen them, recently at her high school dance performace (maybe I'll share via video). Krystina is such a performer-who would have known, the little girl who's kindergarten teacher said she needed to repeat kindergarten because she wouldn't talk! Ha. Krystina just thought she was shy. As soon as we get all settled down, she's going to start pointer classes (on your tippie toes ballet). She would like to study dance and maybe one day have her own studio teaching children dance. Such an amazing goal!

Speaking of goals...Lyndsie had a big project this last week for the "Art Fair". She borrowed a friend, her brother and went to town. She shot both digital and film. I love watching her work and get all detailed and focused. It's a rare occurance to see both at the same time, but that's what she has found in photography. If you happen to click on this photo, you will notice it's very grainy...she shot with a few different lenses, this being the stinky one-but I LOVE this shot. She is now making a list of all the new camera equipment we need...gotta love a girls needs ;)
Life is going well. We are progressing. Hopefully we will have good news soon!

ok yea-why are you packing? :)
cute shot of lyndsie-so cool she is way into photography!
yes Erin do tell...where are we moving too? I thought I heard Colorado. What's the plan?
This looks like lots of fun! I am going through a similar stage going through clothes: maternity, regular clothes that don't exactly fit at the moment, baby clothes, kid clothes, etc. It is so fun to haul off stuff to DI. :)
I am cracking up at the pic of Lyndsie, and how it was "photography by Dan", I can only imagine how he was cracking up that he was taking that. :)
Love all those dance goals from Krystina. I am sure she is looks great dancing...can't wait to see video!
