what do you do when you can't sleep?
count sheep. lay there and think of the gazillion things that need to be done. listen to your husband snore. think of funny things. listen to the crickets chirp. or say real long prayers.
i've been summing up my day, wondering if i could have gotten more things marked off my list than i did. i will say though, almost ALL of my scrapbook stuff is packed and ready to be loaded. you know, the important stuff must be done first...lol. we will be pulling a small u-haul with necessary items until the moving company delivers the rest of our goods. i haven't done this since jessica was about 8 months old! just glad that the suburban won't be loaded with all the stuff (junk). dan offered tucker to ride in the trailer...he's just jealous the dog loves me so much!
i've been messing around with the blog. added some new stuff. my favorite is the book carousel! the girls and i have been reading a lot this summer (including krystina, shocker). right now i can't seem to put down 'the year of fog'. it was a lucky find. my other favorite is one that i've taken in slowly but surely is 'the introvert advantage- how to thrive in an extrovert world'. my friend Christine
shared this book at our last scrapbook weekend. you know, i never considered myself an introvert until i read this book. great book for both introvert & extrovert.
last, dan and i visited with our stake president one last time tonight...such a wonderful man. i shared with him what an amazing experience we've had over the last 5 months. changes we've made, things we've learned and how much it's helped me to grow. the one thing that never failed was the complete faith i had in Heavenly Father. even on a bad day, there was still that ray of hope, peace and comfort that everything was going to be ok. dan and i talked a lot about this on the way home. it's an amazing feeling of safety and freedom. although i am not a big fan of trials, i realize there are reasons we have them in our lives. and i am grateful for trials, both big and small.
