Kyle: Mom, there's a monkey in the gutter and it looks like mine
Me: Oh? Someone probably lost it
Kyle: We should go back and get it
Me: Hmm....why don't you remind me on the way home and we'll stop and take a peek
2 hours go by. It's now raining and we are on our way home.
Kyle: MOM!
Me: What?
Kyle: Dont' forget to stop so I can get that monkey
So I pull into the parking lot at the high school after spotting the poor monkey. Kyle hops out and picks up the monkey and walks back to the car.
Me: It's all wet
Kyle: I know, but its out here all alone
Me: Ok, so go put it over by the light post and some kid will find it tomorrow and take it home
Kyle: Alright.
He heads back to the car kind of in a slump looking sad.
Kyle: Mom, he's all alone
Me: Kyle, it's just a stuffed animal
Kyle: I know, but he's homeless and I want to take him home so he's not alone
Me: ????????
Kyle: What? At least I care
Me: I know you do son, that's what I LOVE about you
Kyle: Thanks Mom
He then gets the monkey, rings the water out of it and lays it in the backseat. But before shutting the door, squeezes its stomach and it makes this hilarious monkey noise!
Welcome home little monkey.

Obviously someone did not appreciate this little creature. The heart of a young boy.
