dan and i have been busy in the yard, weeding and planting new vines & plants. we had planned out this great garden we would finally plant this year. but neither of us really want to do it now. maybe we will change our minds, but for now we are doing other things in the yard. over the weekend i felt myself plunging into a funk. don't really know why. so we headed out to plant hunt, hoping that would help. i don't know about you but, i LOVE spring. I LOVE all the colorful flowers and varieties. the tulips are my favorites, but of course they are only pretty for a week or two. if we lived in a cooler climate, i'd plant a tulip garden! the home depot's and lowe's aren't quite ready for spring, the flowers i'm looking for aren't in yet. i did manage to find some that i liked for pots on our patio.

it felt so good to just get my hands dirty digging in the dirt planting pots of 'happiness'. hopefully the wind won't break off all the flowers! so for now, each morning when i open up the shutters, i see these pretty pots that make my heart so happy.
in other news:

ahem....SOMEONE ordered cookies for her husband, then the husband ordered cookies for himself! now we have double the cookies. too funny. i'm glad they are freezable!

I know all about the funk,i'm going through it myself, but my blog would read something like... you can tell spring is just around the corner by the great weather we're having. The inversion is here so you can't see the Oquirrh Mountains and it's in the low 40's. buds are starting to show on the trees and you can almost see the tulips and daffodils starting to come up. just up the street from us is a street lined with dirty snow. I don't love driving on that street just because it looks some horendous! So in a nutshell, i'm jealous you lucky girl!
We should be picking up Morgans order for Girl Scout Cookies this weekend! YIKES! She sold hundreds of dollars worth of cookies. Let the desaster in the house begin.
