Residents of Nebraska!
Today was the least painful part of the process. Dan and I had to get new drivers licenses in order to get new car insurance. We headed out to lunch first at his favorite 'in town' restaurant (which also happens to be the place of Jessica's new job). Since most of the businesses are closed during the noon hour it was a nice little break, besides I wanted to check out Jessica's new joint. By the way, lunch was great! It might just be our new little "date place" once he is back home for good. I think Jessica will enjoy working there, its the hot little spot in town. Back to the topic....Dan and I got to the office where the DMV was (they are only here on Thursdays & Fridays if that tells you anything). Walking up the hall we were discussing how horrible it would be if we had to take new tests, or if they had to mail out our new drivers licenses. You know, small town chatter! We are greeted by the nicest man, he gives us a form to fill out and tells us to come in. We chatted with him for a few minutes, give him our paper work, do some signing and in less than 10 minutes we are on our way out and across the street to the Court House to finish the process!! We are always greeted with "And what brought you to Nebraska"...lol. Never in my life have we experienced this kind of customer service! Everyone is so friendly and so kind. I'm really taking a liking to this.
Things I LOVED about today:
-no long lines
-no long waiting, from line to line
-ONLY ENGLISH SPEAKING
-friendly customer service
-convenient
-stress free
-relaxing
-laughing and chatting with county workers
-a pretty new NEBRASKA drivers license (no testing required, yeah)
-a satisfied husband who's head didn't spin during the process!
New plates: Check
New license: Check
New insurance: Check
We still remain die hard fans of the Anaheim ANGELS!!! That will never change.

I am SO glad you clarified that last part! Phew! I was so worried you wouldn't be Angels fans anymore. LOL Just teasing you. Glad everything went so smoothly, perhaps, California could take a lesson from small towns in Nebraska. Arizona wasn't too bad getting all that. You need to take a picture of Jess at her new job and take a picture of the building and what is around it. Cool stuff.
love, Christine
I'm so glad you're getting comfortable there. Small towns are great for friendly and simple. I lived in Hailey, Idaho and Loved It! You and your family will do just fine there.
Love ya,
Shelly
I'm so glad that was a good experience for you! Jake and I had the same thing happen to us in Chadron 2 years ago. And I hope I don't offend anyone, but since moving here I have decided that Nebraskans are the most neighborly, kind people in the world! I hope you continue to have fantastic experiences like that and want to stay forever so my NEW friend becomes one old, good friend!
