Funny how when you clean off all the appliances you can see the ENTIRE counter! Now, where to keep it all while the work is getting done is another subject.
This photo scares me (past tense). When Dan started taking down the tiles I started to panic and wonder if we were making a big mistake. I had to get out of the house and run some errands and this is what I came home to! You can only imagine my comment on that HUGE hole in the wall...which we laughed about for some time, there happens to be a very large shoe print on the wall. Obviously left there by the builders almost 10 years ago! Needless to say, once the panic attack had subsided Dan had fixed up the walls real nice in preparation for tile.
Buh-Bye NASTY OLD WHITE TILE THAT I HATE BLEACHING TO KEEP THE GROUT NICE AND WHITE!!! Oh man..does this feel good. Dan let me break some of them off just for pure satisfaction. All these years of serious kitchen loving, it needs a little 'perk me up'.
The best part of this is seeing how creative one can get while her kitchen is out of order. We did get the new sink in today so we're almost back in business. The kids were going crazy not having 'filtrated water' from our sink! I kept telling them to drink up the gazillion water bottles in the garage and then you'd hear something like this (in a super whiny voice) "but I don't like that water, I want the filtered water". Now in regards to those water bottles, my kids POUR OUT the water in them and fill them up with filtered water from home...go figure.

No way about pouring out the water, that is SO not efficient for someone like me with OCD. LOL! Can't wait to see what happens in your kitchen!
